The aim of the Program is to implement and scale AI solutions in key sectors of Kazakhstan's economy by launching the first practical accelerator mechanism. Acceleration will involve scouting, selecting, and testing AI solutions through pilot projects. Industry experts and trackers will provide mentoring support and mediate interactions between AI solution providers and corporate customers.
The Industrial AI Accelerator 2024-2025 is a pilot acceleration program designed to promote the practical implementation of AI in Kazakhstan's real economy sector under the National AI Development Strategy. The initiative is organized by the Almaty branch of the Autonomous Cluster Fund 'Park of Innovative Technologies' (ACF PIT) supported by the AI Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Digital Ministry).

Accelerator is a program that helps startups and companies accelerate the development of their solutions by providing access to corporate and government customers, finding a funding schemes, experts, and methodologies for piloting and scaling your AI solution. The accelerator has two main functions: educational and practical. This accelerator emphasizes the practical aspect, including matchmaking between clients and AI solutions, as well as facilitating pilot project launches.
Companies whose solutions are at least at the working MVP stage can participate. Preference is given to products and R&D teams with real experience in piloting and implementing AI solutions in the corporate or government sector.
The selection process includes submitting an application, evaluating the team and product, ensuring alignment with industry focus, and readiness for piloting. In the first stage, applications are assessed based on criteria such as data completeness, industry experience, justification for AI use, commercial viability, and piloting readiness. In the second stage, interviews with experts are conducted to confirm the data and discuss participation terms. The evaluation is carried out by a committee comprising AI experts, representatives of ACF PIT, and the AI Committee.
Participants gain access to the pressing needs of corporate customers, training from international experts, assistance in packaging pilot projects, and the opportunity to scale solutions both within Kazakhstan and beyond.

A pilot project is the testing of your AI solution in real customer's conditions to evaluate its effectiveness, adapt it to business needs, and prepare it for implementation. The pilot project is regulated by a document signed by the client and the provider (in the form of a letter of intent), formalizing the scope, timeline, KPIs, and stages of the pilot project. The duration of the pilot project may vary; you can initiate a pilot in 2024 and continue its implementation in 2025. However, it is important to demonstrate a working prototype using the customer's data within 3–4 weeks.
Training and interaction with experts are conducted online, but participation in DEMO DAY and other key accelerator events can be either offline or online, depending on your location.

Among the customers are leading companies from the energy, construction, finance, and healthcare sectors: oil production enterprises, power generation and distribution companies, medical institutions, etc.
By applying to the accelerator, you are automatically included in the shortlist of solutions considered for acceleration in 2024 and 2025. If you are not selected for the accelerator in 2024, you will automatically have the opportunity to become a candidate for participation in 2025.
Throughout the accelerator, you will undergo training, participate in workshops, prepare presentations and pitches, collaborate with customers to finalize pilot agreements, and test your solution in real-world business scenarios. Within the accelerator's tight timelines, you will not only pitch your solution to a pool of customers and spark their interest but also, with the support of experts and moderators, negotiate pilot project terms, sign the pilot project agreement, and launch a demo of your AI solution using customer data.
Yes, you can apply. However, if your pilot project is successfully launched and you are selected for the national pool of AI solutions, it will be required to register a legal entity in the Republic of Kazakhstan to continue co-operation.
The accelerator prioritizes solutions with a pilot duration of up to three months. If your solution requires additional time, it can be adjusted or prepared for a longer implementation phase.
Yes, you can participate. The accelerator team provides support in English and customers are ready to communicate with international participants.
The possibility of financing is assessed individually depending on negotiations with customers. Participants piloting solutions in the Mining & Energy Tech sector may qualify for funding of multiple pilot projects, with a total allocation of up to 10 million tenge, subject to specific conditions.
